Davida Makepeace

Davida Makepeace, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 9 years of nursing experience. She has experience in various specialties to include areas of cardiothoracic surgery, coronary intensive care, and emergency medicine. She has been a dedicated frontline emergency room nurse during the covid-19 pandemic.

She began her healthcare journey as a patient care tech 9 years ago at the emergency department where she once volunteered. She attended Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Ga where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She continued her nursing education at Kaplan University. In 2017, she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Executive Leadership. She graduated with honors and a 4.0 GPA.

She later gained leadership roles such as a mentor, preceptor, and charge nurse on her unit. She understood one never stops learning and returned for her Post Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Purdue University Global in 2018. After obtaining her board-certification as an advanced practice registered nurse she decided to search for an elite opportunity that would mold the foundation of her nurse practitioner career. Her search is now over as she has chosen to join the wonderful team at MedLink. She is eager to provide treatment to her community one patient at a time.

Davida is a wife of a loving husband of 8 years, mother of two children, and has one dog “Brody.”  She is the youngest of three and has two older brothers. She enjoys working out at the gym, traveling, and spending time with her family. Through the MedLink residency program she hopes to gain essential knowledge, skills to provide safe patient care, and be the light that shines on a patient’s darkest day.
